Roof Installation and Replacement in Metro Atlanta
A roof replacement removes the old roofing down to the wood deck, repairs any damaged decking, and installs new underlayment, flashing, ventilation and shingles or metal panels. Done right, a new roof keeps water out, helps the attic stay cooler in Georgia summers and protects everything below it for decades. JMJ Construction Group installs, replaces and repairs residential roofs across metro Atlanta.
Most leaks start at the details, like flashing around chimneys, valleys, vents and skylights, not in the middle of the roof. We give those areas the most attention. Because we're a general contractor, we can also fix rotted fascia, damaged framing or interior ceiling damage from a leak in the same project. Roofing often goes with home additions and new garages, too.

Signs You Need a New Roof
A roof usually shows its age before it fails. Watch for these signs.
- Curling, cracked or missing shingles
- Shingle granules collecting in the gutters
- Water stains on ceilings or in the attic
- Sagging areas or soft spots on the roof deck
- Repeated leaks in different spots

Roofing Questions, Answered
How much does a roof replacement cost?
The price depends on the size and pitch of the roof, the material, how many layers come off, and how much decking needs replacing once the old roof is removed. Chimneys, skylights and complex rooflines add flashing work. We inspect the roof and give you a free, itemized estimate.
How long does a new roof last?
It depends on the material, the installation and the ventilation under it. Architectural asphalt shingles commonly last around 20 to 30 years, and metal roofs can last considerably longer. Good attic ventilation and sound flashing help any roof reach the long end of its range.
Should I repair or replace my roof?
A repair makes sense when the damage is limited and the rest of the roof has plenty of life left. If the shingles are worn across the whole roof, leaks keep showing up in new places, or the deck is soft, replacement is usually the better investment. We'll tell you honestly which your roof needs.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most residential roof replacements take one to a few days, depending on the size of the roof, the material, the amount of decking repair and the weather. We'll give you a schedule and keep the house covered if rain moves in.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. JMJ Construction Group holds Georgia GC license GCI000260 and carries liability coverage through Next Insurance, with proof available before work begins.
Do you offer free roof estimates?
Always. We'll inspect the roof, explain what we find and provide a detailed written estimate at no cost and no obligation.
