Flooring Installation in Metro Atlanta
A flooring contractor removes old flooring, prepares the subfloor and installs new hardwood, vinyl, laminate or other flooring so it sits flat, stays quiet and holds up to daily traffic. JMJ Construction Group installs and repairs floors across metro Atlanta, from a single bedroom to every room in a whole-home renovation.
Squeaks, gaps and soft spots usually start with the subfloor, so we fix it before new flooring goes down. We'll also help you pick a material that suits each room, since a kitchen, a basement and a bedroom ask different things of a floor. For bathrooms, showers and entries, see our tile installation services.

Flooring Installation Throughout Metro Atlanta
We're a Marietta general contractor that installs hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, laminate and tile flooring. Before any new floor goes down, we check the subfloor for squeaks, soft spots and moisture, since those problems show through a finished floor.
We install flooring for homeowners in Johns Creek, Woodstock and Sandy Springs and the communities nearby.
Flooring Questions, Answered
How much does hardwood floor installation cost?
It depends on the wood species, solid or engineered construction, the square footage and how much subfloor prep the rooms need. Stairs and pattern layouts add labor. We measure your rooms and give you a free, itemized estimate.
LVP, laminate or hardwood: which is best?
LVP is the most water-resistant of the three, so it's a common pick for kitchens, laundry rooms and basements. Laminate resists scratches well and costs less than wood. Hardwood costs the most but can be refinished again and again, so it can outlast the others by decades. Many homes mix them by room.
Should I refinish or replace my hardwood floors?
If the boards are solid and the damage is mostly on the surface, like scratches, dull finish or worn traffic paths, refinishing is usually the better value. Replacement makes sense when boards are cupped, rotted or too thin to sand again. We'll check your floors and tell you which one they need.
Can new flooring go over my old floor?
Sometimes. A floating LVP or laminate floor can go over some flat, firmly attached floors. Carpet always comes out, and anything loose, damaged or uneven should be removed so we can check the subfloor. Adding height can also affect doors and transitions, which we'll account for.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. JMJ Construction Group holds Georgia GC license GCI000260 and carries liability coverage through Next Insurance, with proof available before work begins.
Do you offer free estimates?
Always. We'll measure your rooms, talk through flooring options and provide a detailed written estimate at no cost and no obligation.
